Repairing your credit is definately the first step a borrower should take to get started on securing a mortgage. Getting a copy of your credit report can be invaluable sometimes as it can highlight instances where you can potentially repair your bad credit rating by contacting the organisations hwo have issued the score. This especially works in situations where your score has been incorrectly calculated, so get access to your report to get staretd.

I think you need to be cautious about credit repair and even credit counseling. But this seems like a good company judging from their website.

In UK the companies that do the same are Equifax and Experian. A person can obtain their credit report for GBP 2.00 from either company. Often a person may have a bad credit without even knowing - sometimes because of sharing the address with the person with a bad credit. This can be sorted by contacting Equifax or Experian. And for people with real bad credit, there are various national debt help lines that will help sort out finances. I guess we will have more and more on bad credit with the current credit crunch worldwide.
